Inaugural Annual Conference and Ambassador's Gala - EACC Texas

I asked Claudia Schroeder, our new Director Events & Projects, to draft a recount of our recent trip to Texas -- Todd

On November 4, 2021, Executive Director Todd Schwartz and I had the honor to attend and support the inaugural Annual Conference and Ambassador’s Gala of our new EACC sister chapter EACC Texas.

The conference program centered around Innovation & Economic Growth, featuring 3 different panels. The first discussion featured panelists from Ericsson, IBM, Nokia and the policy delegation for the European Union and gave fascinating and sometimes scary insights into the future path of the digital economy and where technology will lead us and how we will change from pulling information to getting pushed information.

The second panel focused on innovation as a driver of economic improvement and the influence of education and the presence of talent on corporations to pick new locations for their growth.

The evening Gala was in a beautiful historic setting at the Belo Mansion and featured his Excellency Stavros Lambrinidis, Ambassador of the European Union to the United States, as keynote speaker. After a delicious dinner pianist Mark Markham gave the evening a perfect ending with a wonderful concerto.

EACC Greater Cincinnati, joined by the EACC Carolinas, is proud to have been able to show our support for the newest chapter in Texas, which has proven its excellence with this outstanding event.

Thank you Erin McKelvey, Executive Director EACC Texas for welcoming us to your successful inaugural conference and Gala!

With Gratitude,

Claudia Schroeder
