The COVID-19 global pandemic is impacting every company (and every individual) across our region. Governments are taking steps to mitigate both the spread of the disease and the economic impact. But given the speed at which this is happening, there is still confusion about who may be eligible for what benefits and what the long-term impact will be.
Given this confusion, the EACC worked with our friends at Frost Brown Todd LLC and VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm to organize a webinar exclusively for manufacturers and European-based corporates. The goal of the webinar was to provide an overview of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and other available credit facilities, and particularly to discuss PPP eligibility for foreign-owned companies. The webinar also served to offer insight from a human resources perspective on topics including COVID-19 testing and furloughs.
In conjunction with our friends from Frost Brown Todd LLC and VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm, we were also grateful to have Peter Feil, VP/General Manager at EACC member company STOBER Drives Inc., join us to discuss how his German-owned firm is working through the challenge.
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to our presenters: Kai Bitter and Shannon Kuhl with Frost Brown Todd LLC; Deirdre Bird, Emir Hodzic and Erin Young with VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm; and Peter Feil with STOBER Drives Inc.
If you’re an EACC member and have questions about the PPP or other programs, please reach out to EACC Executive Director Todd Schwartz (todd.schwartz@europe-cincinnati.com). We would be happy to connect you with our presenters and other member resources. Be sure to also view our list of COVID-19 Business Resources from EACC Member Companies.
