Despite the best efforts of the COVID-19 pandemic to derail our plans, the Cincinnati Chapter of the European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) held a very unusual but successful Beaujolais Nouveau Nouveau celebration on Thursday, November 19. Our original intent had been to gather a few small groups in individual salons at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, with other groups and individuals joining from their homes, offices or other venues, and connecting everyone via teleconference. However, on the morning of Tuesday, November 17 we made the decision to shift to a completely remote event, and over the course of two days we completely overhauled our plans to accommodate the change. The praise received from attendees is a testament to both the flexibility of the EACC and to the value we can generate for members:
- “I found the meeting very interesting and purposeful; it was a great opportunity to meet excellent professionals and collect important information for the business.”
- “It was an informal meeting that revealed the authenticity and humility of people; occasions like this should be done more frequently.”
- “Last night the EACC has demonstrated that it is more than ever a pillar of the Greater Cincinnati and transatlantic business communities... I could not be more proud as a sponsor...to see the resilience, the agility and the leadership of the EACC...”

We are deeply grateful to all those who made the event possible, and in particular Presenting Sponsor Altix Consulting. Our Gold Sponsors included the City of Mason, Clark Schaefer Hackett Business Advisors, Development Strategies Group LLC, DHL, HORAN, and Modula. Silver Sponsors were Deceuninck North America, MCM CPAs & Advisors, and Thompson Hine LLP. And we also appreciate our Board Member Patrons Bobby Spann (CVG), Cierra Clymer (REDI Cincinnati), Drew Collins (Bannockburn Global Forex), Ryan Reckman (U.S. Bank), and Sheila Spradlin Reich (Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center).
We also offer deep appreciation to the management and staff of the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza; their patience, flexibility and generosity made them the perfect partner in organizing (and reorganizing) this event. We’re very fortunate to have them as an EACC member.
And while this event was indeed a success, we sincerely hope that you can join us in person on November 18, 2021 when again we will welcome the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau and celebrate our regions ties of commerce and friendship with France and Europe!
