The Board of Directors of the European American Chamber of Commerce met at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the offices of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Board President Doug Moormann welcomed those in attendance (including prospective Board member Julie George from Gilman Partners) and then introduced Bobby Spann, Vice President for External Affairs at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Mr. Spann provided a great overview of the growth of the airport, outlining the “Embrace What’s Next” campaign and efforts to attract additional transatlantic and international flights to CVG.
The board then heard brief reports from the EACC’s various committees, including the Executive Committee; the ad hoc Committee to Revise the Code of Regulations; the Economic Development and Business Development Committees, and the Austrian-Swiss-German Committee. The Board voted to approve the Auditors report of the EACC’s 2015 and 2016 Financial Statements after a presentation by Harold Kremer from Barnes Dennig. Executive Director Schwartz provided a quick snapshot of the organizational health of the EACC, followed by an appeal for Board members to support the upcoming Beaujolais Nouveau in November with some inventive and generous donations for the silent auction.
Once the draft minutes of the board meeting are approved (at our October board meeting), EACC members may obtain a copy of the minutes by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
