In early June, EACC Director Events & Projects Claudia Schroeder and I traveled to Mt. Vernon, Ohio for two days to attend a ChamberMaster training session. ChamberMaster is the EACC’s association/chamber management software and we use it to manage membership, events, various email communications (Todd’s TLDR), the EACC website and more!
As the software is continually changing and being updated, this training program was a unique opportunity to work directly with ChamberMaster to see how we can better utilize the various elements of the software, and in turn, better serve our members.
Day one of the session included a look at communications and the various ways ChamberMaster can be used to connect with members. Of particular importance for me and Claudia was understanding what we can do to ensure our members receive our email communications and stay in the loop about EACC news and events.
On day two of training, Claudia and I were most notably interested in learning more about the software's events features and how to use these features more effectively. We learned tips and tricks when it come to adding sponsors to event pages, managing registrations, creating/sending event invitations, creating event name tags, etc.
The training was also vital in helping us understand two features of the software we have yet to deeply utilize: billing and the Member Information Center (a member portal). Todd, Claudia and I look forward to working together in the months ahead to see how we can use/implement these two elements to offer added value to our members and make our back office operations even more seamless.
