Building Cohesive & Resilient Teams (Workshop)

Building Resilient & Cohesive Teams

Sponsored by Credo Growth and VEGA

"Dynamic very good presenters and content and practical results seen on site in reality"

As business leaders and managers, we all know and understand the power and importance of our people, and indeed our business culture. Thousands of articles and books and blog posts and memes have been written on the topics of leadership skills, business culture and the value of our employees. We KNOW this. But how do we BUILD it?

This is where Credo Growth came in for VEGA, as we discovered at the workshop they delivered at VEGA in April.

VEGA has seen spectacular growth over the last few short years and if you speak to a VEGA employee they will be engaged and excited about their place of work. VEGA's tag line is "Home of Values" and their culture is based on this entirely and in practice. So what did we learn? While we reviewed the what and the why (starting with the 5 Dysfunctions of a Team), the focus was on the HOW:

"Knowledge is Power". But is it??

If you know, but don't ACT on that knowledge, nothing changes. And if nothing changes - or improves - did you really have any power at all?

The power is in the action, in the application of the knowledge to improve a situation, to effect change.

Do you truly understand the importance of trust and how to build it?

Patrick Lencioni, author of the 5 Dysfunctions of a Team, understands the importance of trust. TRUST is the starting block of his pyramid. Without a foundation of TRUST relationships cannot and will not lead to extraordinary outcomes.

Understanding to eliminate the 5 Dysfunctions of a Team

It is only by first acknowledging and understanding the dysfunctions that exist, and how they affect people, that we can start the work of repairing or indeed eliminating these dysfunctions.

Helene Smuts gave attendees insights and tools and testimonials and examples... all practical and easily applicable steps to start the process of undoing the dysfunctions and building trust and connection and unity within their teams, so that, like VEGAs, they can become more resilient and higher performing, and indeed fulfilled.

We are hoping to offer this workshop again in October so that those who were unable to attend can take advantage. Feedback from April attendees:

100% of attendees who replied to the survey said they felt engaged and at ease
100% of attendees who replied to the survey said their time was well spent
100% of attendees who replied to the survey said they gained valuable insights
100% of attendees who replied to the survey said they would recommend this workshop to friends/colleagues/leadership

"I very much enjoyed the discussions with the team and getting fresh ideas of improving our team (work). The different ways to give feedback is essential and getting to know the team better is key. I am excited to share my finding with our management."

Thank you to Helene and VEGA for a superlative experience.
