Cincinnati State Launches Manufacturing Process Technology Training Program

The Workforce Development Center at Cincinnati State has launched a new training program focused on Manufacturing Process Technology. The Chemical Operator Skills Training program begins its first series of classes for the year on September 14.  As you can see from the attached flyer, this program will equip students to join the fast growing world of chemical and process manufacturing and provide a focused traning to accelerate the onboarding of new employees.  The chemicals industry is vital to our region – did you know that in 2015, chemicals accounted for nearly $3 billion worth of exports from the Cincinnati MSA, second only to transportation equipment?

You probably also didn’t know that this program got its start because of the European American Chamber of Commerce.  A number of the players have changed positions since its inception, but the EACC was integral in connecting chemical companies to Cincinnati State and sparking the conversations that led to the development and launch of this program.  That’s just another benefit of your EACC membership!

The program will have value for any and all process-based manufacturers – chemicals, foods and flavorings, even brewing!  And successful students can move on to advanced traning, all while earning college credit that can be directly applied towards an associate's degree.

We encourage members to review the details of the program, to consider whether your employees might benefit, and to help us spread the word!
