Behind the Scenes: Planning of our Annual Conference and Gala 2021

By now you have likely heard the EACC will be hosting our Fall Conference and Annual Gala Dinner on September 16 at Drees Pavilion in Covington, Kentucky (Presented by Altix Consulting and Modula Inc.) With planning in full swing, we thought we would offer a snapshot of the work going on behind the scenes…

  • The afternoon conference will focus on “Supply Chains, Logistics and International Trade.” The event will feature a keynote speech by Cain Moodie, Senior Vice President for Americas Region Network Operations and Aviation at DHL Express. We have also lined up an impressive range of panelists including Kim Harper-Gage, COO of Festo; Scott Miller, a trade expert with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS); Kerry Byrne, President at TQL; and our moderator will be Charles Sox, Associate Dean at UC’s Linder College of Business and a professor of operations and supply chain management.
  • We are thrilled to once again be working with Jeff Thomas Catering for both the Conference and the Gala. Back on June 9 the EACC had the pleasure of working with Jeff for the official menu tasting. We are excited for our members and guests to enjoy this year’s German-inspired meal as part of the Gala Dinner in honor of our Keynote Speaker H.E. Emily Haber, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States.
  • Both the Conference and the Gala Dinner will include the option for guests to attend a networking reception to be hosted between the two events. This will allow for a larger networking reception than in year’s past. We’re delighted to be able to expand the networking opportunities available to our members and guests!
  • We have confirmed the Jagdhornbläsergruppe Cincinnati Ohio will be performing the German and U.S. national anthems during the Gala Dinner. The Group had the honor of being invited to the Oktoberfest in Munich back in 2017 to march the Oktoberfest parade and play during the festival.

Of course, this is just a snapshot of what’s in store for September 16. We have several other events on the horizon including Stammtisch coming up this Thursday, July 1 (an in-person event!), and stay tuned in the weeks ahead for a look at the October Bridge Builder Symposium on Industry 4.0
the EACC is planning in conjunction with REDI Cincinnati and our two Bridge Builder members, Altix Consulting and Modula.
