The EACC is again working to support the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership (AMIP) in its efforts to spark the imaginations of young people, parents and teachers in considering the potential of careers in advanced manufacturing. One of AMIP’s signature programs has long been Manufacturing Month (October), where companies hold open houses or host tours so students and parents and teachers get a better sense of the look and feel of a modern factory.
AMIP is working to take Manufacturing Month “virtual” by collecting videos, virtual experiences and other resources to share with students, teachers, counselors and parents (here’s an example video from EACC member Balluff.)
If your company has materials that you think would be supportive of this effort, I encourage you to reach our to Amy Meyer at Rhinestahl (amy.meyer@rhinestahl.com) or to me (todd.schwartz@europe-cincinnati.com). We want to make this the most innovative and engaging Manufacturing Month ever.
And as always, we’re so pleased to see EACC member companies so engaged and supportive of AMIP. If your company is not involved with AMIP and you want to learn more, please reach out to Amy Meyer (amy.meyer@rhinestahl.com).
