As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the EACC to cancel our Annual Gala (which had been scheduled in May 2020). And the pandemic has continued to hamper our ability to fulfil our primary function of helping our members build new connections and networks. Can we find a way to gather and celebrate the commercial and business ties that connect our region while respecting health guidelines and keep people safe?
Our new Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration (or Beaujolais Nouveau Nouveau – BN2) seeks to do just that. This ‘hybrid’ event will gather small groups in salons at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, or in small groups in homes or offices across the region, or even just with a spouse or colleague at your own computer. We’ll all connect online to hear remarks from our incoming and outgoing Board Presidents; to learn more about Beaujolais wine; and even to enjoy the music of the Faux Frenchmen. And we’ll also hear from and have an interactive Q&A session with the Ambassador of France to the United States, Philippe Etienne (invited). Details on sponsorship packages are here: note that if you want to join us in person at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza you’ll need to act fast – we only have two salons left! Details for individual registration will be available on the EACC website next week.
We are very grateful for our Presenting Sponsor, Altix Consulting, and for our Gold Sponsors: City of Mason, Clark Schaefer Hackett, Development Strategies Group, DHL Express and HORAN. (If you are counting, you’ll note that means there are only two rooms left if you want to join us in person!) We also thank our Silver Sponsors – Deceuninck NA, MCM CPAs & Advisors, and Thompson Hine.
The EACC will also hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on-line immediately before the BN2; formal notice will be sent to EACC company representatives separately.
So mark your calendars and plan to join us for this unique event on Thursday, November 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (following the AGM at 6:00 p.m.).
A word on the title (for the non-Francophones): Beaujolais Nouveau simply means ‘new Beaujolais wine’ (that is, wine from the Beaujolais region of France), with the adjective following the noun. So we are calling our “New” Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration the Beaujolais Nouveau Nouveau, or BN2. Get it?
