The COVID-19 Pandemic is having major impacts on businesses and individuals around the world. We will hear how businesses based in China, Japan, and Italy (three of the hardest-hit by COVID-19) are working through the day-to-day challenges of keeping their employees safe, their customers satisfied, and their facilities operating. Our speakers will address issues such as:
- Salaries: How are Salaries Paid?
- Travel: What happens when employees can't travel, or are quarantined upon return from travel?
- Government: How are government policies and actions helping (or hurting) companies?
- Work From Home: Can telework really replace on-site work?
A program organized by the Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati, the Midwest USA Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the European American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cincinnati, in collaboration with the African American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce, the Indian American Chamber of Commerce, and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (the 'Eight as One")

President, Bonfiglioli USA
Greg Schulte is President of Bonfiglioli USA, a leading manufacturer and distributor of gearmotors, drive systems and planetary gearboxes for industrial processes, automation, mobile machinery and renewable energy applications. He joined Bonfiglioli in 2002 as Sales Manager of the Mobile Solutions Division North America prior to becoming the Vice President of Sales, where he made the company a dominating presence in the U.S. and leading the way to further development and expansion. Under his tenure as President (since 2008), the company has seen consistent year over year growth and has become the best-performing facility within Bonfiglioli Group worldwide. Both he and the company have been recognized for leadership and growth during his tenure, including Mr. Schulte’s nomination as Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Company’s numerous awards and nominations for growth including Inc. 5000, Fast 55, Emerging 30 and many other local, national and international awards.
Kazuyuki Okui
VP of Mass Product Development, Kao USA
Kazuyuki Okui is Vice President of Mass Product Development at Kao USA, in Cincinnati, a Japanese-owned cosmetics manufacturer recognized for its environmental and ethical business practices. He joined Kao in 1992 and has been involved in global business development projects focusing on China and other Asian countries, Brazil, and Russia. He holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Shinsu University. In addition to his leadership role at Kao USA, Mr. Okui serves as Board President of the Tri-State International Educational Fund, Inc., a non-profit organization that supports the local Japanese Language School of Greater Cincinnati.
Michael Crotty
President, MKT & Associates Ltd.
Michael Crotty is President of MKT & Associates Ltd, a specialty products import and export company with a primary focus on connecting China and the United States. He has spent 35+ years in the home textile and apparel business. Mr. Crotty has 20 years of experience doing business in China, including the last 8 years on the ground in Shanghai. He is very active in the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai) and is a former member of its Board of Governors. He was a founding member and Governor of the Invest USA Committee (IUSAC), founded in 2015 by AmCham Shanghai, the Commercial Services division of the US Consulate, Shanghai, the US China Business Council, and the Council of American States in China. This organization promotes Chinese investment into the USA. He is an Expert Advisor to the Supply Chain Management Committee, AmCham Shanghai. Mr. Crotty is China Representative for the Midwest USA Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
