The European American Chamber of Commerce with the Chambre des Notaires de
Paris invites you to a webinar to answer questions, both professional and personal,
that Americans and other foreigners must ask for a successful move to France. The
panel discussion will also cover key areas of vigilance for French companies
onboarding foreign nationals.
Panelists :
- Pierre-Philippe BUDET, Notary Public in Paris, will discuss the legal and fiscal aspects of personal and family law in a Franco-American context. He will cover topics such as marriage, marriage contracts, divorce, donations, inheritances and how to anticipate them, as well as the question of housing (whether to rent or buy).
- Vanessa TOLLIS, Partner and Co-Head of Gide’s New York office, will cover U.S. tax planning for international clients. She specializes in cross-border transactions and tax issues relevant to starting or expanding operations abroad, including U.S. tax treaty eligibility, entity classification, and cross-border equity compensation.
- Elisabeth MAURY, Chartered Accountant and Partner at ORCOM International, will delve into the professional aspects of expatriation. She will provide expert insights on social law, including the choice between secondment and expatriation, the impact of residence permits, and employment contracts.
- Jean D’ALBIS, Head of the US Desk and Member of the Executive Committee at Banque Paris Saint Germain, will discuss financing, wealth management, and taxation for American residents in France. He will also address the challenges of finding French banks that accept American customers.
- Camille BEAUDOIN, Notary Public in Paris and Discussion Lead, will guide this conversation on the real estate, family law, and business law issues most pertinent to Americans and other foreign nationals arriving in France.
